Why regular visits matter
Most dental problems start small and quiet. Coming in about every six months lets us catch them early, while they're simpler and cost less to fix.
What happens at your visit
- Your hygienist removes plaque and tartar, then polishes
- X-rays when you need them
- The dentist checks your teeth, gums and bite
- An oral cancer screening
- Time for your questions, with no rush
Your first visit
New patients get a full exam with X-rays and photos of their teeth. The doctor walks you through what they find, and you leave with a plan that fits you.
No insurance? The Glen Rose Family Dental Membership covers two cleanings, doctor exams, X-rays and an oral cancer screening each year, plus free whitening.

I love Sarah, she has cleaned my teeth for about 20 years and Dr. Barnum is so nice. They take good care of my husband and me.
Common questions
How often should I get a cleaning?
Most people do best with a cleaning and exam about every six months. If you've had gum problems, we may suggest coming in more often.
Do you see kids?
Yes. We see children, teenagers and adults, so the whole family can come to one office.
Does insurance cover cleanings?
Most dental plans cover routine cleanings and exams. No insurance? Our membership covers two cleanings a year.
